Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound thinly sliced beef steak (like sirloin or ribeye)
  • 12 pieces slider buns
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced

Sauce Ingredients

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Cooking Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • Garlic powder (optional) Use to taste

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until they are soft and translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Season the steak with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using. Add the steak to the skillet, cooking until browned and cooked to your liking, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • In a small saucepan, combine the beef broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Heat over medium until warmed through.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Arrange the slider buns on a baking sheet. Fill each bun with a portion of the steak and some cooked onions. Top with shredded cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the buns are toasted.

Serving

  • Serve the sliders warm with the warm au jus for dipping.

Notes

Make sure to cook the steak quickly to keep it tender and juicy. You can use leftover roast beef for a quicker option. For extra flavor, marinate the steak in soy sauce and garlic for an hour before cooking. Feel free to mix different cheeses for a unique taste.
