Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk Warm, but not too hot.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted and divided)
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  • Heat the milk and 1/4 cup of melted butter until warm.
  • Add the warm mixture to the dry ingredients along with the eggs. Beat until smooth.
  • Gradually add the remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
  • Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour).

Baking

  • Once risen, punch down the dough and shape it into rolls.
  • Place the rolls on a baking sheet and let them rise again for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Brush the warm rolls with the remaining melted butter before serving.

Notes

Texas Roadhouse Rolls are best served warm with honey butter. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days or frozen for 3 months.
