  • 6 to 7 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/3 cup Bachan's Japanese BBQ sauce (or hoisin sauce)

  • 1 to 2 tablespoons sriracha Adjust for spice preference

Instructions

Cooking Instructions

  • Boil the noodles according to package directions (do not use the flavor packet). Drain and rinse them well with cold water so they don't overcook.
  • Set a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the olive oil along with the chicken (if using), onion, kosher salt, and pepper. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Add the garlic and the cooked noodles, then stir in the Japanese BBQ sauce (or hoisin sauce), soy sauce, sriracha, and butter.
  • Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring and pressing the noodles so they become slightly crisp. Add the green onions and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Serve with sesame seeds and add more Japanese BBQ sauce and/or yum yum sauce if desired.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, skip the chicken and add more vegetables like bell peppers, broccoli, or snap peas. Adjust the spice level by adding less or more sriracha depending on your taste. Feel free to use any noodles you have on hand if you can't find ramen. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
