Ingredients
  

Main ingredients

  • 1 lb Sliced smoked sausage Use your favorite type of smoked sausage.
  • 8 oz Cream cheese Soften the cream cheese for easy filling.
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese Shredded.
  • 8 slices Bacon Regular or turkey bacon.
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce For brushing the wrapped sausage.
  • to taste Spices (optional) Customize with your favorite spices.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your grill or oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Take a slice of smoked sausage and cut it in half lengthwise.
  • Fill the hollowed center with cream cheese and top with a sprinkle of cheddar cheese.
  • Wrap the sausage with a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  • Brush the wrapped sausage lightly with BBQ sauce.

Cooking

  • Place on the grill or baking sheet and cook for 20-25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy.

Serving

  • Serve warm and enjoy, preferably with extra BBQ sauce on the side.

Notes

If you have any leftovers, let them cool completely and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the oven or microwave until warmed through. For extra spice, add jalapeños or hot sauce to the cream cheese mix.
